It's tempting, and all too easy to come all the way out to Madrid for a weekend and see little more than the inside of a bar and Zidane's bald patch! Your guide will fill you in on a bit of history and give you plenty of ideas about what to do in the evening. You'll then be dropped back where you started, or a bar or restaurant of your choosing!
With the tour, we recommend a slap-up meal at one of Madrid's most famous restaurants from the Asturias region of Northern Spain. Famous for the delicious roast chicken (pollo a la brasa) washed down with cider, your guide will also order mouth watering other tapas and titbits. Or try one of Spain's best paellas in the cool Old Quarter just up from the Prado Museum. Wash it down with some tasty Spanish rosado and you'll be doing the authentic Mediterranean lunch. |
